The Allen Institute for Brain Science is contributing to a broad effort to develop a census of cell types in the human and mouse brains. The Allen Cell Types Database provides comprehensive, standardized transcriptomic, electrophysiological, and morphological data from individual cells, open for the broad research community. This seminar will provide an overview of the scientific rationale for this work, the methodologies used for large-scale data collection, and highlight findings from early analysis of the data.
