IBRO/IBSP-UNESCO Global Engagement & Outreach Event in support of basic research in the brain sciences

  • Description The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and the International Basic Sciences Programme (IBSP) at UNESCO are pleased to hold this global engagement and outreach event to encourage discussions about the urgent and continuing importance of supporting research in the basic sciences, with a special focus on current coordination, engagement and outreach efforts in the brain sciences. Featured speakers come from the policymaking and scientific communities who are directly involved in addressing awareness and funding challenges, as well as creating opportunities that aim to better coordinate diverse stakeholder groups and resources towards more effective, equitable and sustainable research expectations and outcomes.

High Level Dialogue on Neuroscience and the Future of Education & Learning

  • Description IBE-UNESCO and IBRO will co-convene a high level dialogue on the role of credible neuroscientific knowledge in the future of education and learning, and its potential to intensify the impact of efforts to address the current global learning crisis. The dialogue will be held on Monday, 23 September 2019. It will bring together renown neuroscience researchers and high level education policymakers and their senior experts who focus specifically on teaching and learning as indispensable curriculum implementation processes.
